Happy 5 Year Anniversary!!

Over the weekend, Eric and I celebrated our 5th year anniversary. I can't believe that it is already here. It feels like it came so quickly in some aspects. I remember when we were first married, people would say "Oh, so you are just newly weds. Isn't that great. I remember that phase. Don't pass through it to quickly." Well, it has come and past now and I can truly say that it has been an amazing 5 years. I am married to the kindest, sweetest, most loving man in the whole world. He is my rock. He is always helping me to become a better person. He is my shoulder when I need to cry. He is my sounding board when I am frustrated. He is also my voice of reason when I just can't see the big picture or don't want too. He is such a hard worker. His love for the gospel is unwaivering and his testimony strong. I am so lucky to be married to such a wonderful person.

So, now that I have gotten all my mushiness out I will tell you what we did this weekend. Friday, was the big day. So I got up and Eric made me breakfast, My favorite french toast. Then I went and get a pedi and my make up done at my fabulous work! Thanks Ashlen and Megs! You made me feel so beautiful. Then I went home and Eric and I ventured out to see the movie Twilight! On our way there though we had to make a detour. He came out of the store with the most beautiful flowers! I am so LUCKY! He totally pampers me. Then we rushed over to the movie.  After our movie, we made the journey up to Deer Valley and stayed at the Stein Erikson Lodge. It is so gorgeous there. We had such a gorgeous view from our room. We ate at there amazing restauraunt. So Fantastic!!! Then we got up the next morning, lounged around, enjoyed the amazing view and late check out. We were very sad to leave but we will definitely be back there! So, all in all our 5th year anniversary was a huge success!  Here are some pictures of our great time! Enjoy!

Pizza Pizza!

Well, here it is, the moment you have all been waiting for...I finally have some pictures to post. I know, you are picking your jaw up off the floor as we speak.

Eric and I decided that tonight instead of buying pizza and to save a little money, we would attempt to make our own. We bought all of the stuff to make it and started to attempt to make our own pizza. You should know that in the almost 5 years that we have been married we have never made pizza. Pizza has either been frozen or purchased. So we did okay for our first round...See for yourself.

This is what happened when we tried to move it from the counter to the pizza stone.

This the pizza after we fixed it. A little mishapened but good.

And for the grand finale...Here is the end result.

Here are the rest of the pictures from the night...

Let it Snow?

So, all this last week I was in Burley nannying for some friends of ours. It was really fun and the kids were pretty good. We did some fun activities, watched lots of movies, did homework, colored lots of pictures and made cupcakes with frosting. All in all, I still want to have children, the kids are alive and the parents were happy.

Now here comes the explanation for the title of this post. We woke up Saturday morning to a winter wonderland. Overnight it had already snowed a good 10 inches. The snow did not let up at all. It snowed all through the day and then into the night. Cars were barried, driveways covered and plowed several times. The happy side to this madness were the looks on my neices and nephews faces. They played and played all day long. They made tunnels and snowmen, and came in side to get warm with some hot chocolate. Rosy cheeks and rudolph red noses, didn't stop them from playing. Since we had now where to go, it was actually kind of a great day. It felt like it should be christmas already. I guess that we should get through halloween first. All in all we recieved about 22 inches of snow! What a crazy weekend!

I WISH YOU ENOUGH

My friend Tawny put this on her blog and I really loved it. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.

Recently I overheard a mother and daughter in their last moments together at the airport. The airline had just announced the departure flight. Standing near the security gate, they hugged and the mother said, “I love you, and I wish you enough.”

The daughter replied, “Mom, our life together has been more than enough. Your love is all I ever needed. I wish you enough, too, Mom.”

They kissed and the daughter left. The mother walked over to the window where I was seated. Standing there I could see she wanted and needed to cry. I tried not to intrude on her privacy, but she welcomed me in by asking, “Did you ever say good-bye to someone knowing it would be forever?”

“Yes, I have,” I replied. “Forgive me for asking, but why is this good-bye forever?”

“I am old and she lives so far away. I have challenges ahead and the reality is…the next trip back will be for my funeral,” she said.

“When you were saying good-bye, I heard you say, 'I wish you enough.' May I ask what that means?”

She began to smile. “That's a wish that has been handed down from other generations. My parents used to say it to everyone.” She paused a moment and looked up as if trying to remember it in detail and her smile grew.

“When we said, 'I wish you enough,' we were wanting the other person to have a life filled with just enough good things to sustain them.” Then turning toward me, she shared the following as if she were reciting it from memory,

“I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright no matter how gray the day may appear….

I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more….

I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive and everlasting….

I wish you enough pain so that even the smallest of joys in life may appear bigger…..

I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting….

I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess….

I wish you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye….”

She then began to cry and walked away.

Random Happenings...

Well, lately my life has been a little crazy. I haven't really had a lot to write about until recently. So here goes nothing... This weekend has been a bit of an emotional weekend for my sisters family. On saturday, her neice, little Lacy Jae passed away. What a sad thing to have happen. She was only 16 months old. She has had a lot of health problems since she was born and then things just kept getting more and more complicated. She was born with a big heart and lungs that did not work. She passed away saturday night. I was able to go to her funeral yesterday and I must say that I was truly touched. What a sweet and amazing family this little girl was born in too. They just loved her and cared for her unconditionally. They have such an amazing perspective on the plan our Heavenly Father has for us. How grateful this made me for my family and for the amazing gifts that I have been given in my life. I have a wonderful husband, who I love more than anything and who loves me in return. I have an amazing family. They are such strong examples to me of how to live life to the fullest. They are always loving me and supporting me and I am so grateful for them. We always seem to be there for eachother no matter what the circumstance is. I have been truly blessed in life with the things that matter. My heart goes out to Mike and Joy. We love you and will keep you in our hearts and prayers.

Breaking Dawn...

Well, the new book to the Twilight series came out and my sister-in-law and I faced the crowd of crazies at the Walmart to get this book. Needless to say I don't think it was her strongest one and its the last one, which is kind of a let down. When I first read the series I just couldn't stop reading and this one I couldn't seem to make myself pick it up. After finally finishing it I thought it was alright, but definitely not her best one. There was a lot of hype for a lot of nothing really happens. I know that I am making a lot of people mad, but its an opinion right? We are all entitled to our opinions. So here's mine. Sorry if it offends anyone!

Memories...

My friend Kristin had this on her blog and I thought it was too cute, so I added it to mine. Its a memory game and this is how you play!

1. Leave a memory that you and I had together, as a comment on my blog.It doesn't matter if you know me a little or alot. Anything you remember.

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you leave a memory about me then I will assume that you are playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave a memory about you. If you don't want to play on your blog or if you don't have a blog I will leave my memory of you in my comments. Happy Memory Game!

Time Flies When Summer Comes!

This summer has been so crazy! I have been gone every other weekend this summer and finally this weekend I am at home and I am rather excited to relax and do nothing.

We have recently decided to start renting movies from Red Box. I love it! What a great invention. So far I have watched movies that I wasn't dying to pay a lot of money to see. Recently I viewed the Bucket List. I loved that movie. It has quite an interesting story to it. It made me think of how we have people come in and out of our lives that are made to be there for us. We have wonderful opportunities to meet different people and they all seem to leave an impression on us whether for good or bad. Life is funny that way. I am so glad that I have so many wonderful people in my life that have definitely helped me to be a better person or help me through times that are hard. Yes, I am sappy I know. Thats what this movie invoked in me.

I just though I would share my thoughts about that. I will update all my summer happenings soon. I hope everyones summer has been as good as mine!

Which Disney Princess Are You?

My cute friend Kristen put this on her blog and I thought it was fun so I decided to take the quiz. Here are the results!

You Are Belle!
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Intelligent and kind. Your beauty goes much further than your apperance. Also, you make judgements of people based on their personality and not their looks. Attaining all the knowledge that you can is one of your major goals in life, but you are also a person who can make things happen.

Oh What Fun We Had!

This week my sister brought my nephews up for basketball camp and so she decided to stay with me for the week. I was so excited! She and her other 4 kids showed up on Monday night. It was so good to see them. Of course me being the retard that I am, I forgot to take pictures. Basically, I am not going to ever have any photo memories.

Anyways, so this week I got to hang out with her and her kids. It was so much fun. I had Emily come in to my work for a massage and then I took her kids to get lunch and eat it at the park. You will never believe what happened there when I tell you.  My neices maddy and sydney were climbing trees and found a really long caterpillar. Maddy was so excited, and she wanted to take it home and make it her pet of course. Well, this little girl that we don't know comes up and asks Maddy if she can play with it. Maddy being the sweet girl that she is let this little girl play see the little caterpillar. Once this girl has the caterpillar she proceeds to tell maddy that she is not going to give and back and that it is hers now since maddy let her see it and look at it. Well, I told that little girl ( who I have other names for but will not use) to give Maddy back the caterpillar since she had it first. The little girl says that she won't and then she runs of and smashes the caterpillar. Maddy was devistated. I was angry and ready to scream at this little girl, all the while wondering where her mother is during all of this chaos. Needless to say I didn't scream at this little girl, but told her to get away from Maddy and the other kids. I was very nice and but firm and so the squashing caterpillar girl left us and all in all our lunch ended well. Then later on that day the girls came and got little pedicures at the salon. It was so much fun.

The rest of the week was filled with the discovery museum, shopping, late night talks, watching the boys play basketball and ended with them dropping me off and heading for home. I was so sad to see them leave. I don't get to hang out with them very often and so it was so much fun! Thanks for coming to visit Em!!! I hope that you guys come back soon.

Happy Fathers Day, Dad!!

I just thought that today I would post a few things about this amazing person that I call Dad.

Through out my life, my dad has been a constant source of faith, love, encouragement, selflessness, problem solving, a listening ear, commitment, fun and a friend. I could not have asked for anyone better to put up with me than him. He has always been someone that I want to be like and I feel like if I even get close to half that I should be ok. He is the strongest person that I know. Through personal trials and just plain old life, he comes out on top every time. I just want to share with you some of the things that he has done for me over the years.

When I was about 5 years old, my family moved from Paul, Idaho to Salt Lake City since my grandparents had moved there and my mom wanted to be close to her family. My dad's business was still in Paul and so he would leave every Sunday night after we went to bed and then would come home every Thursday night. This made it really difficult for Dad to be able to make it to things like softball games, school plays, choir and piano recitals, and all of those midweek activities that seem to always be going on. You would have never guessed that it was hard on him at all because from the way I remember it, he was at every single one he could be too. The only times he didn't make it where when he was on a business trip, but he made sure that you knew that he wanted to be there more than anything in the world. You always knew that no matter what you were his first priority. The thing that you should know is that he would drive at least 6 hours every night that he did this. He would leave work in the afternoon and then he would drive all the way back to work that night. Thank you Dad for always making me feel so important.

Another thing that I have been taught is that family is the most important thing in all the world. Things will come and go, life will come and go, but your family will always be there and they are the most important. Dad has always shown that to us. You will always know that you are the most important thing in his life no matter how much you mess up or hurt him, you always know that he loves you and that he will be there for you no matter what. He might call you a "Churnhead" or a few other names, but you still know that he loves you.

Dad has always showed by example that helping others, selflessness and service is how life is suppose to work. I have never met someone so eager and willing to help people and is always finding someone in need or helping his family. Dad has often asked that for Christmas that we don't spend money on gifts for him, but to pull together and find someone that could use Christmas more than him and help them. He is always teaching by his example that this is important.

If you have ever met dad you would know that this man loves to have fun. He is always up for a party and having a good time. There is definitely never a dull moment in the life of the beebster.

Well, now that I have rambled on and could still keep going I better stop now since I have probably embarrassed him. I just want to say Happy Fathers Day Dad! I love you so much and thanks for everything you have taught me and for your love and support over the years. You are so amazing and I don't know where I would be without you. You have always been such and amazing example in everything that you do. You deserve to have a wonderful day and I am sorry that I can't be there to share it with you. So here is my tribute to you. I love you so much!

So Behind!

Wow! I have not posted in a really long time. Life has been a little crazy lately. I started the new job and I love it. I am just training with the pedicures right now until they can get me into the assistant training for hair. They do this with everyone so its not really that big of a deal. They told me that I would breeze through it, so that will be good. I also as of last sunday have a new baby neice named Emelia Faye Drake. She is the most beautiful baby and I will post some pictures of her soon. I think memorial day has passed in this time period too. I am so behind. Memorial Day was really fun. We were in Burley and we went four wheeling with the fam. We found this trail that was really mild and fun because we had a lot of little kids with us of course. So we took a great ride and came back to the trucks and were having lunch, when right was we were done it started to rain a little. Well, the guys,Saydi and Kim went on another ride. By the time they started out, it was a torrential down pour. I mean, there was hail, rain, not to mention it was freezing cold. They were soaked through and through when they got back. I will post pictures of that soon too. Anyways, that is kind of my life in nutshell, these past couple of weeks. Hope you enjoyed it. I will post better soon!

The Smoothie

Well, this morning I was running a little early to work and so I decided that I was going to stop at this new smoothie place and grab me a smoothie. I was so excited! So I got to work and was getting out of my car when I picked up my smoothie and was holding on too hard and the lid popped off and the smoothie went everywhere. It was all over my shirt. It even soaked clear through to my bra. To top it all off I was on the phone with my new job trying to figure out when I am going to start. It took everything I had to not say any dirty words. I didn't have any clients first thing and so I ran into Old Navy and bought a shirt off of clearance. Needless to say, the rest of my day has gone pretty well, but the morning just down right stunk! Well, I guess thats life for ya!

Jar Jar Binks Finally Hit the Road!

Finally, after many weeks of painful suffering, Jason Castro also lovingly know as (Jar Jar Binks) has finally gone home! Hooray! His singing on Tuesday was horrific and so I am glad that America finally decided he needed to go. Thank Heavens!!! I did like some of his songs in the beginning, but he just kept getting more atrocious! Now, we just need to hurry and get on with it and make David Archuletta the American Idol for this season. I guess we will see what this Tuesday brings. Hopefully not as painful with Jar Jar gone. Here's to getting some better American Idol.

New Job at Brick House Retreat

So, after several weeks of interviews and a stressful week and weekend of waiting for them to call me, I finally received a phone call saying that I got the Job at Brick House Retreat! I am pretty stoked about this job. I am sad to leave the girls and my other job, but I am excited about the prospects of this new one. There is a lot of education, potential to go where you want to go, room to move up and all that good stuff. So, ready or not here I come. Hopefully it will be a good match for all involved.

American Idol Voting Fiasco!

Can you believe who got voted off on Wednesday? That is terrible! Jason Castro needs to go home. He was terrible on Tuesday! I love Brooke White, but she didn't do as well as Carly at all! I didn't really love Carly's song, but she sang it very very well. If the voting keeps going like this, I might have to stop watching the show. I was so disappointed with this week! I am not sure they should let America keep voting. I guess its a good thing that Carly is good enough to get a record deal anyway and she will definitely be on the tour. Hopefully the voting will be better next week.

Tag... I'm It!

So I guess that I have to tell you ten things that you don't know about me or that I am scared of, so here it goes.

1. Contrary to popular belief I am not as clean as either of my sisters. They make me look like the biggest slob ever! Oh wait...that is probably because I am!

2. When my cousin Lauren and I got to the age that barbies weren't cool anymore, we would undress them and then go up to the balcony from my moms room and throw them onto the golf course while the golfers were starting to hit their balls. Once we threw the barbies we would duck so that the golfers couldn't see where these barbies were coming from. Pretty classic and hilarious. I think that we even nailed a couple of them.

3. I hate peanut butter! I love the taste of peanuts and I love any form of Thai food that has peanut sauce, but I hate peanut butter! Any form! The texture and consistency totally grose me out! Eric calls me un-american for that little oddity!

4. I hate the movie goonies. When I was younger I started watching it at a friends house when I was sleeping over and I had to go home because I got scared. The movie isn't even scary! How do I know this you say? Well my hubby happens to love that movie and so he mad me watch it again, much to my protest. It really isn't scary, but it is kind of stupid.

5. You know how most people are scared of clowns, spiders, snakes, and so forth? Well, I am afraid of something that is not even real. I am afraid of Pirates! Yes I said it. Its the first step to recovery! I know they aren't real, but I am terrified of them. They always look disgusting and they steal all your stuff. Then they kill you when they are done, so they will stay on the black list for awhile.

6. I will never look in a mirror when I am in bed at night. When I was little my cousins used to tell me stories about bloody mary and if you say her name and look in the mirror then she will come after you and kill you. I know! Another one of the stupid things you take to heart when you are a kid and never forget.

7. My temperature is about 20 degrees colder in my house than in anybody's house I know. I am always hot and could live in Antartica with the penguins.

8. I am way to big of a shopper! I can't ever seem to get enough of it. I own way to many pairs of shoes. Its definitely a problem!

9. I am a HUGE Alvin and the Chipminks fan. I even have their Christmas special on DVD. I even went to see the new movie when it came out.( I loved it to by the way).

10. I am such a scaredy cat! Anything that looks remotely dangerous I tend to shy away from it. Although, I have been on the sky coaster several times at Lagoon. That is about as wild and crazy as I have ever gotten.

Well, I am done rambling on about the crazy things that you may or may not know about me. So I guess its my turn to tag some people. I am going to tag, Emily Pilling, Laurie Young, Nicole Tullos, and Kristen Kropf. Have a fantasterific time!

Blog Junkie!

I have officially decided that I am a blog junkie and way to addicted to this thing! When I am at home I am constantly looking at my blog and other peoples, trying to find cute new things to do to my blog. I am obsessed! I love it because I get to read about everybody's stuff, but I think that they are going to have to take me to rehab soon! I have even dragged Eric into this,  because he is a web designer and developer and so I say make my blog cute and then he starts in on the...You need to let me customize it and get a hosting account and blah blah blah. Then once he is done with the ranting he tries to give me ideas. We are quite the team apparently because I haven't done anything new with mine for a while. Oh wait, I did do the header with the digital scrapblog stuff, but even at that I couldn't figure out how to get the thing on my page and so I told Eric to come and do it for me! I am sucking everyone into my crazy addiction now! So anyways, they are going to come and take me away for blog junkie therapy! Its been nice knowing you all!

My Cute Hubby!

Well,  lately everyone has decided that Salt Lake is the place to be and my house has been the hotel of choice. I have really loved seeing everybody and have had a lot of fun. My house had mounds of dirty laundry, dishes and stacks of things to put away. I just started a new job and so I
haven't been home at all to do anything. I have also been having a hard time with this new job. There are a lot of things that were happening there that I didn't know about before I started. Anyway, I came home tonight at about 9 pm after having a not so great day starting with the bank teller lady asking if I was pregnant! Seriously! Anyways, I came home and I was expecting to walk into my crazy house and have to start cleaning. When I opened the door, I couldn't believe my eyes! It was so clean! I could actually see my floor and countertops! I even checked the fridge and it was cleaned out and the floors were even swept. I came up stairs and piles of laundry had been taken down to the basement to be washed! My whole house was so clean! I guess they let him off early at work and so he came home and just started cleaning like crazy! That was the best suprise ever! Oh, and he also cooked me dinner! Can you say amazing! He told me he wanted me to have a good ending to a bad day! I am so grateful to be married to such an amazing guy! He totally takes care of me and is always suprising me in the best ways! The little things definitely count. He totally made my day! Thanks so much Eric!

My nephew Scott rocks on the piano!

My 11 year old nephew Scott is a really great piano player. He was chosen to play before this world renouned piano player in Burley, Idaho. He did so amazing! This song is extremely difficult and he nails it! Sorry I am bragging I know but he did so good and I am so proud of him,  and I am so sad that I wasn't able to be there. So, I am going to put it on my blog.  I hope you enjoy it!

Strep Throat, Any One?

So, last saturday after all of the fam left I started to have a bit of a scratchy throught. No biggy really. I got a little bit more uncomfortable as the day went on but we didn't think it was anything serious. Then I woke up Sunday morning unable to breathe, swallow and talk! Can you say awesome?! So Eric rushed me to the little after hours clinic in Draper and the Lady made me open my mouth and she said "WOW!I will swab your throught, but I know that you have strep." She told me that my tonsils were bleeding and that I should get them out. Yikes! I am not so sure that I want to have that done. So after the doctor and getting some medicine I spent the rest of the day on the couch taking medicine and sleeping away my easter weekend. You want to know what is really crazy? I had strep the exact same time last year. No Joke! I think its out to get me! So I hope everyone else had a better easter than we did.

Spring Break at the Drakes!

This week was a little crazy! My friend Miranda left on Sunday and then My sister Elise and her 4 cute girls came for their spring break! They stayed at my house and we had so much fun! To top if off though of course I didn't take any pictures! Wow I stink at this!

Anyways, they got here Wednesday afternoon and they hung out at my house for a while and then we went to Tiffany's and got Darla and her girls and we went to this place called Jump on it. It was so fun for the girls. Definitely a great place to help them get out all those wiggles. They played and played for about an hour and then we stopped and grabbed some pizza and then we went to my new favorite place called Smart Cookie. They have the best icecream and cookies! All of us were drooling over their cinnamon ice cream! Yummo! Then we came back to my house and played Wii until the girls went to bed.

The next day we went to the mall so that Saydi and Kassidy could buy the build-a-bears that they earned from doing all their chores. They were so excited. We had stopped at Wells Fargo to cash some checks and the were chanting..."We want to go to build-a-bear! Build-a-bear!Build-a-bear! They went on for about 5 minutes until Elise told them that if they didn't stop they wouldn't get to go. Way to lighten the mood! After build-a-bear we met Tiffany and Darla at the Cheesecake Factory! I love their food, but the service there that day was not so great. They totally forgot Tiff's meal and they were so slow! Then later on that night we went to Horton heard a who, as saydi calls it. It was cute and the girls loved it.

Friday we got up and went to Cabela's to meet dad and everyone for a breakfast buffet that did not actually exsist until Saturday morning, but they did have some cold cereal and slushies there and fudge! Can you say healthy? We then wandered the store with Kendalyn saying "Fishy's! Ooohh bears...grrr!" So funny. We also found some great birthdays presents for dad! The worst person in the whole world to buy for!!! I bought him a rocking camp chair. So happy birthday Dad! Then we met up with everyone at the Discovery Zoo at the Gateway mall and topped it off with some California Pizza Kitchen. Wow...we really like to eat! Everyone got up and left saturday morning and then there were only 2 of us! Sad! We love having people come to visit! Thats okay it works out good because Eric's sister Emily is here with us this week. No rest for the wicked I guess! So now that I have babbled on for hours , I guess I am done. Hope everybody else week was as good as mine!

Great friendships are the best!

My best friend Miranda is here from Logan and we got to hang out yesterday. It was so good to be able to see her. I love it when you have those friends that no matter what you can pick up right where you left off  and you could talk for hours and not get bored.

We went out to lunch and then saw the movie Penelope. I love that movie and I would definitely go and see it again. We also went to this place called smart cookie after and it was so cute. They do the homeade cookies and ice cream and then make it into an icecream sandwhich. So cute and way yummy! We also stopped by this salon that was next to this cookie shop and checked it out. What a great little salon. I am kind of a salon junkie and so I love to just go in and check them out. I actually think that I am going to apply there.

Anyways, I also got to see her cute son Marcus. He is about 1 1/2 years old and he is the happiest smiliest kid ever. He came to play at our house last night and Eric just loves to play with him. They laugh and wrestle and play until Marcus has to go home. We are always so sad to see him leave. They are going to be here all week so I will definitely get some pictures while they are here.

Dancing Queens!

So this weekend Eric and I went up to Brigham City to watch Elise and Trav's girls dance. They had a competition and Jordyn was doing a solo and Saydi was in a duo. They both did really awesome. I am amazed at how good they are. Jordyn is a little contortionist and flips and leaps with the best of them. I love watching Saydi because her facial expressions are so cute! She always has this mischevious look on her face. Kassidy did so great too! Her little group took first in every category and then won the grand champion award! I loved being able to spend the day with them. I dont get to see them as much as I used to, so I loved it. I also was with Elise all day which was so fun. I love it when I get to spend time with my sisters. We just joke and have fun. We are definitely goofy when we get together. Another great weekend to check off the calendar!

Happy Birthday Eric!

This saturday was Eric's 27th birthday. This was actually the first yeard that we haven't had any family around to have a party with, which was kind of weird. So I was going to take him mini golfing but It decided to rain and snow! What is up with that? I am ready for spring!

So our day started out with me making him some breakfast. I made omlets and hashbrowns for
breakfast. Then we mostly tried to find a wii because that is what he wanted for his birthday. We
were very unsuccessful, but we are still trying to get one. I have been looking for one of these for a
long time and can't find one.  Then we went to dinner at Chili's. Eric favorite restraunt because he loves their boneless buffalo wings. He got those and a steak and was very happy. We ordered the molten chocolate cake for dessert, I was especially happy because I didnt have to make a birthday cake.

After Chili's we went to Target and found some movies that he has wanted for a long time. We
got him Pirates 3, Live free or Die Hard, The Simpsons movie and Spider Man 3. They were having awesome sales on their movies! Score for us! We then came and made popcorn and snuggled up and watched our movies. It was a simple, yet fabulous day!

Weekend Fun!

So this weekend we had a couple of things planned.  Tiff and Jared told us that Samantha was going to perform at half time for the BYU girls gymnastics meet on friday night and so we decided that we really wanted to got and watch her. So on friday I went out to Tiff and Jareds and spent the afternoon with her and her girls. It was a lot of fun. I got to do Sams hair for her gymnastics meet that night and I must say that it turned out so cute. Of course I dont have pictures because as always I forget my camera, but Tiff said that she would post some, so you will have to check out her blog. So, that night we went to the marriot center and watched gymnastics and Sam perform. She was so awesome! They were totally the hit of the night. Atleast for us. I am so glad that we got to go and see her perform!

Saturday night we had some friends over for a game night and that was really fun. It was pretty low key, but we played games and had some food. It was some of my old friends from highschool so that was kind of fun to get to see them again and see what they are up too.  It was nice to have people over. Overall it was a really great weekend!

We thank thee oh God for our prophet President Gordon B. Hinckley

Well, last sunday night the news came as a shock that President Gordon B. Hinckley had died. When I heard this I was so sad and so overjoyed at the same time. I was sad because he has been the prophet of my youth, a beacon of light and a source of comfort to me. His words of love, counsel and wisdom always made me want to try and do better. I was so happy for him though, he is able to go and see the Savior and his sweet wife. Can you imagine what a reunion that must have been? I bet when he saw them he was flooded with overwhelming joy and happiness. The amazing thing about our prophet was that everywhere he went he was loved and respected by everyone. He was a true disciple of christ and an amazing example of someone living the gospel fully in their life. I know that he was a true prophet of god.
I just want to recap a memory of him that I have so that I will never forget it, not that I could but just in case here it is.When I was about 15 we had a ward temple and service day before we went on a stake trek. The day of the temple trip they took us to the Salt Lake City temple
to do baptisms for the dead. As we had just gotten dressed we walked out and all of a sudden you see President Hinckley and the quorum of the twelve walking through the hall in the temple. I remember seeing him and my eyes just welling with tears and feeling like my heart was going to burst. His spirit was so strong. You just felt warm and happy inside and so grateful to be in that
place at that time. You knew that he was a true prophet of God. He told us that day that we were doing the Lords work and to keep going and that he was proud of us for being in the temple that day. What an amazing day that was! We also were very lucky to be able to go the the church office building and have Elder Neal A .Maxwell speak to us too. Definitely a great day!

I just want to say thank you to a wonderful amazing man! He will always be in my heart. I love this man and Iam so grateful to have had the opportunity to know him as my prophet.

I finally Figured out how this blog thing works...kindof!

Well, yesterday I spent most of the day trying to figure out all the qerky things about this site and tried to make them work. It took me quite a while and I finally got it! Eric didn't even have to help me. Yesterday I was suppose to have an interview with the Brick House Retreat, but it was
canceled due to the fact that the weather was terrible! We are getting bombarded with snow and crazy accidents here! There was a 22 car pile up down in Payson I think it was. Crazy! I love snow
when I can stay inside and enjoy it and that is what I got to do yesterday. I was already to go to this interview and they called and asked to reschedule. I was sad and grateful at the same time. So, I decided to make myself some hot chocolate and watch Little Women. I love that show! It makes you feel so happy. Yeah there are some sad parts but overall its a great chickflick. I hope that everyone had a good snow day!

Its definitely later alright!

Wow! I am really not good at all with keeping up with this stuff. Well, since august alot has happened to Eric and I. The most recent would be moving to Salt Lake City,Utah in the middle of december! How crazy are we! I guess the blessing of all that is that we dont have any kids to move, although with all the junk we have you would think that we did. It has been a really fun experience. It took us 3 weeks to find our ward because aparently our address is so new that no one knows where we are or where the boundaries hit. Finally after going to a couple of ward buildings and hundreds of phone calls I finally found someone that knew where we were suppose to be. Hurray! The best part is that the ward is really great and we feel right at home. The bishopbric and the elders quorum hit us all in the same night. This sunday after church we got called in to see the first counselor and he told us that we were going to be primary teachers for the 6-7 year olds! Crazy, but we are so excited! We have taught primary before and loved it, but they were younger and so we are a little nervous that we might have kids that actually expect us to teach them something! We are up to the challenge. The other thing that we are loving is being so close to some of our family. We live really close to Tiff and Jared and their way cute girls! We are loving being able to spend time with them. WOW! Apparently I am out to write a novel. I guess I will save some other stuff for later. So ttfn everyone!
